Our Green Philosophy
Vintners Resort is proud to have been awarded the Environmentalist Level in the California Green Lodging Program by the State of California’s Department of General Services. Environmentalist Level hotels are required to have a written environmental policy in place and to meet all seven of the program’s sustainability criteria: waste minimization, reuse/recycling, energy efficiency, conservation and management, waste management, freshwater resource management, hazardous materials management, and environmentally and socially sensitive purchasing policies.
Our green philosophy also includes amenities that our guests can enjoy, such as the walking path through the vineyards, along with the vegetable gardens and olive orchards that supply produce to our restaurants.
“It’s always been our objective to do our part to help protect the environment,” said Rhonda Carano, Vintners Resort owner and co-founder. “We’re very proud that produce from our sustainable vegetable gardens is used in our farm-to-table menus at the Event Center and John Ash & Co. restaurant. We are so honored to be recognized for our efforts.”
