Santa Rosa, CA (April 15, 2025) – Ensemble Hospitality announced today the appointment of Michael Collins as General Manager at Sonoma County’s Vintners Resort, a beacon of luxury and sustainability in Sonoma County. Collins is poised to lead Vintners Resort through a $15+ million transformation and launch as a new resort, debuting this summer. Drawing from a lineage steeped in European viticulture, the 92-acre working vineyard and resort will immerse guests in a world of casual luxury distinguished by unrivaled hospitality, signature farm-to-table cuisine and award-winning vintages from the around the world.
With more than 20 years of experience in luxury hospitality, Collins brings a wealth of expertise and insight to the role, positioning him as a key leader in the upcoming launch of the newly reimagined resort which will feature well-appointed rooms and suites; a large resort lobby with a wine and coffee bar plus expanded retail; refreshed meeting and event space; and a revitalized culinary program highlighting an entirely new farm to table menu and chef experiences. New this spring, Vintners Resort launched a highly anticipated expansive resort pool featuring cabanas, day beds, hot tub, fire pit and a full-service pool bar.

Collins joins Vintners Resort following an impressive tenure as General Manager at Archer Hotel Napa, where he successfully launched the property and managed all pre-opening initiatives. His strategic leadership contributed to the hotel’s sustained growth, improved revenue performance, and established its position as a leader in the local market. Collins is known for his deep understanding of the hospitality industry, his attention to detail, and his ability to drive profitability while maintaining an unwavering focus on guest satisfaction.
Prior to his role at Archer Hotel, Collins held various leadership positions at renowned hotels including The Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena and Kenwood Inn and Spa in Kenwood, California. His extensive career also includes significant roles at Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica, The Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, NC, and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. Throughout his career, Collins’ ability to collaborate across departments and lead multi-disciplinary teams has been instrumental in enhancing the guest experience and achieving business success.
